Abstract

Since the 90s, the winemaking process undergoes an accelerated restructuration. The production model focused on the low quality wines for the domestic market is crossed by a new model of production of fine wines destined for international trade. As a result of this new model, the territory was reorganized both as regards their use as its appropriation. The goal of this paper is to study the transformation of Mendoza winemaking industry through analysis the way that the territory was restructured. If changes in the territory are a consequence of the new production model, there are also determinants for their evolution over time. It is precisely this second aspect that we wish to emphasize here.
